Nathan Sykes, from The Wanted, told the Daily Star, “We’re going into the studio with N-Dubz at the end of the month. We’re really excited about it as we’ve always liked them. There’s a chance we might be doing something with Tulisa on her own for the new album too.”

The boyband also revealed that he was shocked at the reception this weekend, I received at the V Festival.

Jay said: “We weren’t expecting V to be as good as it was – we were sh*tting it a bit to be honest as it’s not our usual crowd.

“We think Glad You Came probably changed people’s opinion of us. They can see we’re not a traditional boyband, we’re just a sweaty mess.”

One fifth of the boyband ‘Glad You Came’ songwriting camp recently reached a number of debates which they attended before writing their second LP.

Speaking to Metro about their second album, singer Jay McGuiness said: "We've pretty much written the whole second album ourselves. We went to a load of writing places. We wrote a little bit on the first album but this time we owned it. We didn't just sit in the room and watch it happen. We crafted this one. It's really exciting."

He continued: "There's one track we think is going to be our single and our record label Island are trying to line us up with some big USA artists so that is something to look out for. This album we did one track as all five and then we separated into twos again and with other co-writers but we are in the flow now of how to do it."

Speaking about the band’s success over the past two years, McGuiness said: "We've grown this. It didn't just happen and we slogged for so long and didn't really know what was going to happen and then I think when we got the No.1 there was a while when we thought we had won the lottery."

Band, the recent No.1 Glad You Came is proving to be just a pretty face by songwriters are more recent.

Jay McGuiness told Metro, ‘We’ve pretty much written the whole second album ourselves’.

‘We went to a load of writing places. We wrote a little bit on the first album but this time we owned it. We didn’t just sit in the room and watch it happen. We crafted this one. It’s really exciting. There’s one track we think is going to be our single and our record label Island are trying to line us up with some big USA artists so that is something to look out for.’

And McGuiness, 21, said five heads were better than one. ‘This album we did one track as all five and then we separated into twos again and with other co-writers but we are in the flow now of how to do it,’ he added.

With a first stadium tour on the way next year, McGuiness said that fact did not come from a reality show, and felt even sweeter.

He insisted, ‘We’ve grown this. It didn’t just happen and we slogged for so long and didn’t really know what was going to happen and then I think when we got the No.1 there was a while when we thought we had won the lottery.’

But he and bandmates Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George and Tom Parker refuse to take anything for granted.

He insisted, ‘Over this year it taught us it’s only going to last as long as we make this work. Then getting the No.1 at the end of the year, it’s made us realise you have to put in a lot of effort and we have done. I think there is a bit of pride in there now.’

As for next year’s arena shows, Jay promised: ‘We’re a lot better on stage now.’
